2.1 THE CONCEPT DESCRIPTION
After travelling the nook and cranny of Ghana ,
researching and documenting the history , contributions and challenges of
muslims , we were exposed to lots of information the needed to be put in proper perspectives.
We had also gathered about 200 of the manuscript papers containing cross
sectional views of muslims. The dire was cast for the analysis of the research.
We therefore decided to organize a special 10 days workshop purposely to
prepare ourselves for that herculean
task of awakening the muslims ummah
This workshop was
therefore an occasion to prepared the members, intellectually, morally, islamically, psychologically,
towards the numerous tasks of the projects. The members were also to be
introduced to the principles of leadership and the methodology of positive
social change. The period shall also be used to begin the analyses of the
information’s, and data gathered throughout the period of the research. The
workshop was palnned to take the form of
small focus group discussions with pre and post discussions. Interactions will be intense through question
and answer sessions. The workshop will be climaxed with a media launch of the
PPF projects. Scholars, imams of several of Muslim groups, Muslim professional
and representative of Muslim organization all over the country will be
carefully selected to grace the occasion.
2.2 SPECIFIC
OBJECTIVES
·
The
ppf team members will be taken
through the principles of research to prepare them scientifically towards the
analyses of the document.
·
It
is expected to awaken the team members by exposing them to relevant issues in
Islam by meeting scholars from all key Muslim groups in Ghana, TIJANIYA, SHIA,
and AHLUSUNNA.
·
The
Ahmadiya Muslims will also be given the opportunity to explain their believes
·
The
occasion will also serve as the period to transcribe all interviews,
·
Typing
of all documents and special messages of all key Muslims as contained on the
manuscript.
·
The
workshop shall also be used to begin the typing and editing of the Muslim
directorate and data base. We shall identify key institution left out to be
meet during the mop up
·
The
period will also be used to begin the editing of the video documentary.
·
The
time shall be used to scan all the manuscript papers gathered so far.
·
Occasion
to memorize some parts of the Quran from suratul Nabai to suratul Nas
·
Members
shall also learn the basis of Arabic language
·
The
workshop will be climaxed with a media launch of the PPF projects. Scholars,
imams of several of Muslim groups, Muslim professionals and representative of
Muslim organization all over the country will be carefully selected to grace
the occasion.
